The Magic Manifestation Method
My framework for actualizing dreams
An Introduction To The Higher Power
(the manifestation process is on the second half of this newsletter)
15 year ago, if you had asked me if I believe in God, I would have said: “I think someone is up there.” I don’t like the word God because it conjures up the image of an old white man with a beard up in Heaven.
It wasn’t until I read “The Power of Now” that belief in God turned into knowing. Instead of looking outward for spirituality, we turn inward.
Only what is directly experienced is known to be true.
We go deep into the present moment until our consciousness merges with the source of existence.
Sound too “woo-woo”? Read “The Power of Now”. It is my most-gifted book to others, followed by The Celestine Prophecy.
Once you go deep into the topic of spirituality, you realize we have more than 5 senses. We are multi-sensory. The brain does not only generate thought but it is a receiving-station (like a radio).
Perhaps you have read about experiments where projecting intentions on a glass of water changes its molecular structure. Or, the “observer effect” — where looking at a particle changes its qualities. Or, maybe you have thought of a person then, suddenly, your phone rings and they are calling you.
You are either at a point where you are aware, or at least open, to more going on in the Universe than physical—or I’ve already lost you.
Required reading on this journey is “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill (Kendrick Lamar rapped about him when he begun his music career. Also Lana Del Rey says the book deeply influenced her in a Rolling Stone interview). Or “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success” by Deepak Chopra (recording artist Russ attributes this book to helping him on his journey).
Everything I have mentioned is about one idea: manifestation.
The Manifestation Framework
Many people talk about manifestation. And many get it wrong.
They begin with selfish desires and try to create from their ego. A supercar. A mansion. Ego energy is simply trapped life-force. Energy tends to block up our system when we resist the present moment. To liberate energy we must stop the constant mental judgement going on in our mind. I touched upon it in this newsletter.
Life just is, and the mind makes it good or bad. What if everything that happens to you is happening for you?
To correctly play the manifestation game, we must approach it from a place of wholeness. In your essence, nothing is lacking, you are already perfect. Attempting to manifest from a place of lack or scarcity will turn the fruit of your efforts sour.
Have first (in your heart), then you will receive.
This is summed up perfectly in the Bible:
For to every one who has will more be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away. — Matthew25:29,
Find completeness here, and now. It must begin in the present. Believe. No, feel you have it. It loses power if you project your ideal into the future. Live the manifestation now.
How does it feel to have the influence and affluence you want? To live in that house, drive that car, be with that person, reach your goal?
Write it in the present moment. Hold it in your heart and know you will then hold it in your hand.
Write a Wikipedia page (in the present tense) of you having achieved it. Literally do it.
Surround yourself with the cues to prime your psychology for the person you want to become. Images, objects and writing.
To get what you want, you have to become the person that has it.
Practical Notes and the 10,000 hour rule
You don’t know when it will happen. Mastery takes deliberate practice accelerated by mentorship. There may be a skill gap between now and your ideal.
As you manifest, take tangible steps.
Schedule your practice and course-correct your behaviors.
Break down the big goal (10-year-goal) into annual, monthly and weekly goals.
Realize the event you seek is a result of your daily process (habits and systems). By focusing on the action you are taking in the moment you set yourself up for the event of success— the Nobel Prize. The Oscar. The Grammy. The Spouse. The House.
Your outcomes are a lagging measure of your habits. Your net worth is a lagging measure of your financial habits. Your weight is a lagging measure of your eating habits. Your knowledge is a lagging measure of your learning habits. You get what you repeat. - James Clear, author “Atomic Habits”
Part of surrounding yourself with the cues of success is the people in your life. Network with people living your dream. Go places where high-performance is the norm. Send that DM to your idol.
Networking tip: offer value. Show interest and inquire about what they are working on. You may have skills they need, or if un-skilled you have time you can contribute, or at the very least a virtual high-five to support them. Send them resources on their projects. If you do not have your own, offer an article that made you think of them. Publicly praise them on your social media.
It has happened countless time to me where acknowledging an influencer or author on my Instagram stories has led to a conversation in the DMs.
This doesn’t have to be with famous people and these techniques can be used with those living more private lives.
You may think people don’t want to be bothered by you, but I have always enjoyed genuine interest, support and acknowledgment.
In Summary
Create from a place of wholeness.
Feel you have it now.
Focus the process of achievement not the symbols
Prepare your environment.
